Discovery XR 656 HD

Discovery XR 656 HD is the top of the range among digital radiology devices, being fully automated in the sense of streamlining the flow of patients in any radiology department. General Electric Healthcare has developed FlashPad HD detectors to obtain high quality images at a minimum ionizing radiation dose for a wide range of radiological applications.

Characteristics:

• Configurable system, available in several variants:
  • Generators with selectable powers of: 50 kW, 65 kW and 80 kW.
  • Dimensions of FlashPad HD detectors of 25 cm x 30 cm and 35 cm x 43 cm.
  • Stitching software for viewing long anatomical structures.
  • Dual Energy exposure mode for subtraction of bones and soft tissue, respectively, helps to improve the detection rate of lung nodules.
  • The acquisition of several radiological plans in a single examination and their reconstruction (VolumeRAD) ensures a better view of the volumes of interest, as it eliminates the overlap of anatomical structures. Thus, a reliable diagnosis is ensured, at a minimum dose of ionizing radiation and a much shorter acquisition time compared to CT examination.
  • The artificial intelligence software module (Thoracic Care Suite) automatically analyzes the analysis for the presence of eight abnormal radiological structures
  • AutoGrid software helps improve contrast and offers the ability to reduce exam time without the need to reposition the patient, resulting in lower total patient exposure dose, increased patient comfort and department productivity.
  • Critical Care Suite automatically identifies the presence of pneumothorax in examinations and prioritizes critical cases, notifying a radiologist in less than 15 minutes.
• Detectors with pixel sizes up to 100 μm ensure that high-resolution radiographic images are obtained, to eliminate additional exposures and for a reliable diagnosis.
• FlashPad HD detectors have been designed to be distributed to multiple compatible systems without the need for additional configurations.
